Free Knitting Fonts for Mac

I needed to digitally graph some knit patterns and I was sick of doing it by hand. So I found some great knitting fonts. I originally started looking for knitting software. But the learning curve just seemed too steep. Especially when I wanted to start knitting asap. Then I came across the fact that there are free knitting fonts. And they seemed a much better alternative. With the added bonus that I did not have to install additional software on my system. An Example of Knitting Fonts correspondence to Keyboard 2 Main Free Knitting Fonts I came across 2 popular knitting fonts in my research: Knitting Font ver 2 by Aire River Design [Recommended] Knitter s Symbols by David Xenakis I was originally going to go with Knitter s Symbols but in the end, decided against it. Here are some comparison points to help you choose your knitting fonts. Solomon’s Knot Fine Crochet Shawl

Sometime last year (2013) I saw a photo on Facebook that got me itching to attempt a fine crochet shawl done in Solomon s Knot. Crochet Shawl in Solomon s Knot (CH0330) This crochet shawl was done in crochet stitch: Solomon s Knot.  You can find the how-to of the Solomon s Knot in my Crochet Stitches Pictorial Library. One of the beauties of this crochet shawl is the diversity of styles in accommodates. I had some very fine wool (100% pure wool) and it makes for a very fine and refined shawl. The Solomon s Knot crochet stitch is not hard to do.  But being such a fine yarn, it does take a looooog time! LaCie Drive, Mac Backup – Steps + Review

I just bought a Lacie external drive for my Mac backups. If you have or are going to get a Lacie external drive, or even something similar, this article might be of use to you. I will go through some of the precautions, tips, and steps to easily set up your (Lacie) external drive for performing automatic Mac Backups with the inbuilt (with your Mac) Apple Time Machine. What System and Devices I am Using? To be sure that this article is relevant to you, I am using Mac Book Pro, OS X (ver 10.9.3 as at today 6 July, 2014). My external hard drive is LaCie 1TB Porsche Design P 9223 USB 3.0 Mobile Hard Drive, just purchased from Apple online store. Time Machine Backup – Simple How To

We are going to show you how to do a simple Apple Time Machine Backup. You ignore it.  But it worries you, doesn t it?  When you know you don t do backups and are resting on the precarious chance that nothing will go wrong and you won t lose all of your irreplaceable data. I knew I was. And after my other hard drive crashed, I finally got myself a new external backup drive on Friday, 5 July 2014. I bought the Lacie 1TB Porsche Design P 9223 USB 3.0 Mobile Hard Drive from Apple online store. Not the most expensive.  Certainly not as expensive as the Apple AirPort Time Capsule (ranging from around AU$350 TO AU$450). But the LaCie 1TB hard drive had one of the most reviews and almost all of them very good.

What is the Apple Time Machine

You have had your Mac for a while but still have no idea what the Apple Time Machine is?  Me too, until recently.  Here is a quick short primer on what is the Apple Time Machine and how to use it. What is the Apple Time Machine The Time Machine is built into your Mac (part of your OS X operating system). To use it, you will also need to buy either an Apple AirPort Time Capsule or an external hard drive. Where is the Time Machine? To find it, go to the your top menu bar (see: Glossary) Apple Symbol > Symbol Preferences >> Time Machine Apple Time Machine You can turn the Time Machine on or off.  If you have previously specified an external hard drive as the backup device, it will appear here (mine being Lacie).  And you can choose to show the Time Machine icon on your menu bar for easy access. How to use an Backup Drive with the Apple Time Machine I have only recently just turned on my Time Machine when I bought my new hard drive, LaCie.  So I will use that as an example of how to

Here there is one central handmade felted cabochon (in the center), and 3 customised glass cabochons. How to make your own customised glass cabochon.
